Tapping for your Wellbeing

Introduction to EFT Emotional Freedom Technique

EFT Emotional Freedom Technique is a form of energy psychology that uses tapping on specific points on the body to help relieve physical and emotional pain.
EFT was developed by Gary Craig in the 1990s, who modeled it after traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). In TCM, practitioners believe that our bodies have an energetic system called "Qi," which flows through pathways called meridians. When there is an imbalance in your Qi, you may experience physical symptoms like pain or discomfort; similarly, when there's an imbalance in your emotions or thoughts--for example, if you're stressed out--you could feel anxious or depressed as well.
In order to restore balance to these imbalances through EFT tapping sessions (which usually last 15-20 minutes), practitioners use their fingers to tap various meridian points on themselves while saying certain phrases aloud: "Even though I'm feeling anxious right now..." or "Even though I'm stressed about work..." These phrases are designed specifically for each client based on what they want help with at that moment; once they've been identified by both parties involved then those words become part of each round of tapping until all issues related thereto have been resolved completely!

Preparing for an EFT Session

Before you begin, it's important to prepare for your EFT session. The following steps will help you get into the right mindset:

  • Find a Quiet Place. Find a place where you can be alone and undisturbed for at least 15 minutes. This may mean going into another room or even turning off your phone so that no one interrupts your process.

  • Identify Your Intention. Before beginning, take some time to think about why this is important for you right now and why tapping would help with that issue--what do you hope to accomplish by doing this exercise? Write down these thoughts in as much detail as possible; they'll come in handy later when we start tapping!

  • Create a Positive Affirmation (optional). If there are any positive affirmations or mantras that resonate with how great life could be if only certain problems were fixed (e.g., "I am happy" or "My life has meaning"), write those down too!

Using EFT for Stress Reduction

To use EFT for stress reduction, you'll need to identify your stressors and then release the emotions that those stressors trigger. You can do this by tapping on specific points on your body while saying a short phrase out loud or silently in your mind. By doing so, you'll be able to reduce both physical and emotional symptoms of stress and anxiety.
Tapping involves placing the fingertips of one hand on specific points on the face or body while focusing on an issue that causes you distress (or simply repeating an affirmation). Tapping helps break up negative thought patterns by stimulating meridian points throughout the body--a process known as "releasing." The idea behind EFT is that when we're experiencing strong emotions like fear or anger, our bodies become more sensitive to pain; this means that even minor physical discomforts may feel more intense than usual during these times--and tapping helps relieve this discomfort!

EFT for Emotional Healing

EFT is a process that can help you to release the emotional charge of your stresses and worries. By tapping on specific points on your face, hands and body, you can clear away the negative emotions associated with them.
EFT is based on the idea that our thoughts create our feelings and emotions. When we think about something that upsets us or causes stress, this triggers an energy response in our bodies which creates physical symptoms such as pain or illness. EFT works by stimulating certain meridians (energy channels) in order to restore balance between mind-body-spirit connections so that healing can take place naturally without drugs or medication!
