One sunny day, me and my daughter Grace brought a bag of blue tennis balls to the dog park, chosen because dogs see certain colors better than other colors. With a note saying “Complimentary balls for the dogs- enjoy!” then left the bag on a nearby picnic table. We didn’t linger for thanks because we enjoy doing these random acts of kindness. For us they are fun to think of and execute and we love knowing that they could spark joy in others and possibly spark a ripple effect. A random act of kindness is a spontaneous, selfless gesture done to help or cheer up someone else without expecting anything in return—like leaving blue tennis balls at a dog park for dogs and their owners to enjoy. These acts can be small, like holding a door open, or creative, like paying for a stranger’s coffee. We should do them because they spread positivity, brighten someone’s day, and often inspire others to pay it forward, creating a ripple effect of goodwill. Plus, they feel good—boosting our own happiness while reminding us how connected we all are. In a world that can feel rushed or heavy, these little sparks of kindness keep humanity glowing. But don’t take my word for it. Go out and try it for yourself! :)

Join me this Wednesday for a meditation at Awakened Heart. The meditation is “A New Relationship With Time”
Between social obligations, family duties, and work responsibilities, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the perceived lack of time for what you want to do in life and for even just wellness practices like meditation to take care of yourself. However, neglecting self-care is part of what perpetuates the stress cycle and can negatively impact overall well-being.
But going deeper, a perceived lack of time may come from a ‘scarcity mindset’. A scarcity mentality is when you focus most on what you don’t have enough of. That can be time, money, food, or anything else. Because scarcity is naturally driven by insecurity and fear – time scarcity can cause you to feel overwhelmed, panicky, and hopeless as the minutes pass by. So let’s start the new year with a new relationship with time.
This meditation will give you the sensation of time slowing down and help you to allow your sense of time to expand.
I am a huge advocate of visualization for anything and everything. When I found Jon Gabriel I knew I had to tell everyone about him. He has a great story about his weight loss journey. He used the power of his mind to lose over 200lbs and teaches how he did it. His book has been translated into multiple languages and has helped millions. I’m going to share three links below. The first one is an interview in which he shares his story and a summary of his method. The second link is a 10 minute visualization. The third link is his 20 minute evening visualization/meditation. I personally am finding his techniques to be very effective in a lot of areas of my life. Enjoy!
Join me at this free all day wellness workshop where there will be various fantastic workshops, vendors and I’ll be speaking on Emotional Freedom Technique also known as tapping. EFT focuses on tapping on different energy points of the body to relieve symptoms of a negative experience emotion. It’s simple and effective technique!

Emmanuel's Book II: The Choice for Love
I am obsessed with this show on Netflix called How To Get Rich. The host, Ramit Sethi works with people across the country on their money issues and what their vision of a rich life is. He is a very smart guy that gently guides his guests while helping them understand their beliefs around money. I personally appreciate the show because I grew up poor with terrible examples of how to handle money. I’ve had to learn the hard way and make some big money mistakes. I had to take a good look at my beliefs around money and my everyday habits. Shows like this can teach you a lot and hopefully help some from making costly mistakes. It’s refreshing to see how one person sharing their wisdom can change so many people’s lives in a positive way. Money psychology is a real thing and if you don’t work on your beliefs around money, it can make or break your future. The show has even personally motivated me. Tomorrow I’m actually going to increase what I put into my savings when I get into the office!! So thank you Ramit!
Came across this great read by RetireGuide on how meditation can benefit you as you get older and some ways in which you can get started. Many people do not realize that it can help boost the immune system, reduce blood pressure, relieve pain, and more - all of which are things that apply to older adults.
As most of you know I am passionate about meditating and I love this article because it’s a great reminder that it’s never too late to start. So check it out. It’s a 6 minute read and I hope it inspires to try meditation at any age!!
EFT Emotional Freedom Technique is a form of energy psychology that uses tapping on specific points on the body to help relieve physical and emotional pain.
EFT was developed by Gary Craig in the 1990s, who modeled it after traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). In TCM, practitioners believe that our bodies have an energetic system called "Qi," which flows through pathways called meridians. When there is an imbalance in your Qi, you may experience physical symptoms like pain or discomfort; similarly, when there's an imbalance in your emotions or thoughts--for example, if you're stressed out--you could feel anxious or depressed as well.
In order to restore balance to these imbalances through EFT tapping sessions (which usually last 15-20 minutes), practitioners use their fingers to tap various meridian points on themselves while saying certain phrases aloud: "Even though I'm feeling anxious right now..." or "Even though I'm stressed about work..." These phrases are designed specifically for each client based on what they want help with at that moment; once they've been identified by both parties involved then those words become part of each round of tapping until all issues related thereto have been resolved completely!
Before you begin, it's important to prepare for your EFT session. The following steps will help you get into the right mindset:
Find a Quiet Place. Find a place where you can be alone and undisturbed for at least 15 minutes. This may mean going into another room or even turning off your phone so that no one interrupts your process.
Identify Your Intention. Before beginning, take some time to think about why this is important for you right now and why tapping would help with that issue--what do you hope to accomplish by doing this exercise? Write down these thoughts in as much detail as possible; they'll come in handy later when we start tapping!
Create a Positive Affirmation (optional). If there are any positive affirmations or mantras that resonate with how great life could be if only certain problems were fixed (e.g., "I am happy" or "My life has meaning"), write those down too!
To use EFT for stress reduction, you'll need to identify your stressors and then release the emotions that those stressors trigger. You can do this by tapping on specific points on your body while saying a short phrase out loud or silently in your mind. By doing so, you'll be able to reduce both physical and emotional symptoms of stress and anxiety.
Tapping involves placing the fingertips of one hand on specific points on the face or body while focusing on an issue that causes you distress (or simply repeating an affirmation). Tapping helps break up negative thought patterns by stimulating meridian points throughout the body--a process known as "releasing." The idea behind EFT is that when we're experiencing strong emotions like fear or anger, our bodies become more sensitive to pain; this means that even minor physical discomforts may feel more intense than usual during these times--and tapping helps relieve this discomfort!
Recognizing Anxiety Triggers
Releasing Fear and Panic
Creating a Calm Mindset
EFT is a process that can help you to release the emotional charge of your stresses and worries. By tapping on specific points on your face, hands and body, you can clear away the negative emotions associated with them.
EFT is based on the idea that our thoughts create our feelings and emotions. When we think about something that upsets us or causes stress, this triggers an energy response in our bodies which creates physical symptoms such as pain or illness. EFT works by stimulating certain meridians (energy channels) in order to restore balance between mind-body-spirit connections so that healing can take place naturally without drugs or medication!
The EFT emotional freedom technique is a powerful tool for reducing stress and improving your physical health. Here are some of the benefits:
Reducing Pain
Improving Immune System Function
Boosting Energy Levels
EFT is a great tool for exploring your beliefs, connecting with your higher self, and finding purpose. It can help you discover ways to improve the quality of your life by tapping on the issues that are holding you back from reaching your full potential.
EFT has been used by thousands of people around the world who want to improve their lives in some way. Whether it's working through an illness or disease, overcoming addiction or trauma, or improving relationships or finances - EFT has helped them all achieve what they set out to do!
Here are some tips for enhancing your EFT practice:
Practice daily. The more you do it, the more effective it will be.
Keep a journal of your progress and challenges. You can also share this with friends or family members who support you in your healing journey. This helps to keep you accountable for practicing daily and helps others understand what is happening in their loved one's life as well as how they are feeling about it themselves!
Work with a professional if needed (for example, if there are issues such as trauma that need to be addressed before tapping can be effective).
As you can see, EFT is a powerful tool that can help you reduce stress and improve your quality of life. If you're ready to start your journey toward emotional freedom.
